About Dal Khichdi

Unlike other rice based dishes like pulao or biryani, in khichdi the rice grains are not so separate. You can increase or decrease the water quantity to vary the consistency of the moong dal khichdi. Usually we prefer a khichdi with a thick porridge consistency.

INGREDIENTS

Rice grains, Moong dal, SEASONING MASALA, spices & condiments (Chili Powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, mustard powder, Dried mango, Asafoetida, clove, cinnamon powder), Iodized salt, Sugar, Dehydrated vegetables (onion powder & flakes, Garlic powder & flakes, tomato powder & flakes), Maltodextrine, Citric Acid, anticaking agent (551), Natural Food colour (160b), Contains added artificial (Dal) flavour, Natural & Nature identical flavouring substances.

COOKING METHOD

Gentle Method:
1. Soak premix in water for 10minutes, drain the water.
2. Take 350ml (4 cup) water in pan, add 1tsp ghee/oil & boil.
3. Add the premix & seasoning pouch.
4. Stir & cook on medium flame for 15 minutes.
